A PC the size of your palm: Liva X
Post By Sakshi Wagh on 22-June-2015
Elitegroup Computer System (ECS) has introduced its latest mini PC- Liva X. It’s not the smallest Windows PC around, that’s a long way to go, but it is a lot of computer crammed into a very small package. It packs in more performance than its predecessor and still makes the Mac Mini look huge.
ECS gave the first look of their latest take on tiny, low-power fanless system at CES 2015. The new system uses the Intel Bay Trail processor. You’ll be able to buy a model with 4GB of DDR3 RAM. You can easily install a roomy, high-performance SSD alongside the Liva X’s 32GB internal storage.Users could upgrade to Windows 10 for free, once it’s made available. Liva X supports USB 3.0, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It supposedly emits zero noise and saves power.
The interesting thing still remains to be the size of Liva X. It’s about the size of your palm! With the native VESA mount ( Flat Display Mounting Interface family of standards defined by the Video Electronics Standards Associations), you can place it practically anywhere- behind displays, monitors and TVs. This doesn’t only save space, but it’s also the easiest way to create a cable-free environment.
